Timeline
Our Story
Our story began after we both returned home from serving our missions. James served in Davao, while Pia served in Japan. During the pandemic, Pia was reassigned to Davao, and that unexpected change became part of the beautiful story that would later bring us together.
Those years of missionary service shaped our hearts and taught us the value of faith, sacrifice, and loving others with our whole souls.
After completing our missions with full devotion, we began reaching out to one another. What started as simple conversations slowly grew into a meaningful friendship.
Nine months later, James made a special trip from Tarlac to Davao to visit Pia and meet her family. That visit marked the beginning of a beautiful journey together.
Our love story was built on patience and faith. For four years, we supported one another as Pia worked hard to finish her studies while also working, and James pursued his own career. Through distance, waiting, and every challenge along the way, we continued to grow together and strengthen the love we shared.
Then came a Christmas Eve that we will always treasure.
Surrounded by Pia’s parents and relatives, with the warmth and joy of the season filling the home, James asked Pia the most important question of his life. In front of the people she loves most, he asked her to marry him.
It was the most beautiful surprise and the greatest gift Pia could have ever received that Christmas Eve.
And she said yes.
What began through faith, service, and friendship has grown into a love we are grateful for every day. We look forward to continuing our journey together and building a life filled with faith, love, and family.
